The Two Bays Christmas Party

Coast to Coast. Sunset to Celebrate. Our Biggest Day of the Year.

Join Mountain Tribe for our end-of-year blowout, a 28km coast-to-coast crossing of the Mornington Peninsula from the bay at Dromana to the wild cliffs of Cape Schanck. Everything is taken care of: transport, lunch, snacks and expert guiding. And waiting at the finish line, a catered Christmas dinner and drinks as the sun sets over the ocean. Two Bays Christmas Party, Dromana to Cape Schanck, Mornington Peninsula, Victoria

70 minutes from Melbourne CBD

This is the big one. Our end-of-year blowout, and we're going out with a bang. The Two Bays Walking Trail is the longest continuous track on the Mornington Peninsula, running coast to coast from Port Phillip Bay to the wild southern edge of the peninsula. We're walking the whole thing, point to point, from the bay at Dromana all the way to Cape Schanck, the southernmost tip of the peninsula.

It's a genuine adventure. Starting at the water in Dromana, we climb up and over Arthurs Seat before the trail settles into eucalypt forest and the rolling grassy country of Greens Bush, the largest remnant bushland on the peninsula and a real wildlife haven. The final stretch delivers dramatic coastal cliffs as we visit Bushrangers Bay and approach Cape Schanck. And waiting for us at the finish: our catering team, a delicious Christmas-themed dinner and drinks, and an epic backdrop on the edge of the ocean as the sun goes down.

Graded Hard, this is 28km and a big day on your feet. It's suited to those with good fitness and some hiking under their belt. But the finish makes every kilometre worth it.

This is also the Mountain Tribe Christmas party, and we'd love a huge turnout. With two guides and two vans, we can take 20 hikers on the trail.

Prefer to skip the hike and just join the celebration? You're very welcome at the dinner. Dinner-only tickets are available so friends, partners and family can meet us at Cape Schanck for the sunset feast.
