"I never imagined I'd be climbing high-altitude Himalayan peaks - it was the most incredible experience. The Mountain Tribe prep was next-level - I felt strong, confident, and safe the whole way."
Brett S
Himalayan Climb"This was no ordinary trek - it was alpine immersion. Camping on a mountain, heavy packs, and a real physical challenge. I felt unstoppable by the end. There is no way I would have been able to do it without the build-up training and being part of a team."
Amanda R
Australian Trek"Being able to do the trek with the people who you'd met and trained with before you went away was a fantastic thing. There was such an amazing connection and comradery within our group particularly."
Ashley K
Himalayn Trek"Trekking to Everest Base Camp and Kala Patar had been a dream for years. What made it possible was the way Mountain Tribe trained us. I arrived strong, calm, and completely prepared to handle the altitude and long days on trail."
Amelia D
Himalayan Trek"Summiting Lobuche East was the most demanding thing I've ever done - and I wouldn't have made it without the build-up training. The technical weekends, the altitude education, the strength work - it all came together when it counted."
James R
Himalayan Climb"I've done a lot of hiking, but nothing prepared me for the level of training and support I got with Mountain Tribe. From day one, I felt like I was part of something bigger. Feathertop was incredible - but the build-up changed the way I move, train, and think."

Here's what people want to know
This expedition is for everyday adventure seekers who are ready to push beyond their comfort zone and take on a life-changing physical and mental challenge.
You don’t need to be a mountaineer or ultra-athlete - but you do need to be ready to train, show up for your team, and embrace discomfort in pursuit of something bigger.
Most of our participants are in their late 30s to 60s. They lead busy lives, but are craving a reset - something real – a challenge. They want to prove to themselves that they’re capable of more, and they’re willing to put in the work to get there.
If you’re drawn to the mountains, value structure and community, and want to come home changed - this is for you.
Because we do things differently.
We don’t just drop you into the Himalayas and hope for the best. We train you - physically and mentally - for months beforehand, right alongside your guide and teammates.
Our Summit Prep System™ is one of the most comprehensive build-up programs in the world, designed to maximise your success and minimise risk. It includes structured cardio and strength training, team hikes, alpine skills weekends, and personalised coaching.
We also run smaller teams, deliver premium safety and medical support, and foster a culture of trust, integrity, and shared effort.
With Mountain Tribe, you don’t just go on a trek. You become part of a high-performing team - and a tribe for life.
We run treks across Australia and the Himalayas, with options for various experience levels.
Not at all. Many of our Tribe members are first-timers. We offer both non-technical treks and more advanced climbs, and you’ll be fully prepared with expert-led training before you hit the trail.
Our group sizes are deliberately kept small – 6 to 12 participants for Australian and Himalayan treks, and 6-8 participants for Himalayan climbs – we keep the numbers small so that we can offer personalised support, maintain safety standards, and create strong connection.
Yes - and it’s a good sign. These treks are designed to stretch you, not scare you. Feeling nervous means you care. That’s why we train together, support each other, and build confidence as a team.
You’ll be doing a structured formula of cardio, resistance training, mobility, and mindset work. We’ll guide you through weekly workouts, group hikes, classroom-based workshops and tailored support so you feel physically and mentally prepared when it’s time to hit the trail.
Build-up training programs run for 6-8 weeks for the Australian Summit Treks, and 6-12 months for Himalayan treks and climbs. That gives you plenty of time to build up gradually and feel confident by the time you embark on the trek.
Yes – the individual assessments and program inductions, as well as all of our group training and team building happens in person. It’s part of what makes the Mountain Tribe experience so powerful. We train as a team, build trust together, and head into the mountains already connected.
Safety is a top priority - from training to summit. We keep group sizes small, work with expert guides (with military or outdoor leadership backgrounds), and use world-class emergency protocols. You’ll be supported every step of the way.
All Himalayan expeditions are enabled with a suite of emergency support systems, including satellite communication, emergency beacons, high-alitude and wilderness first-aid qualified guides, group first-aid kits and evacuation protocols. We also partner with Global Rescue, one fo the world’s leading emergency response organisation. Global Rescue membership is included for all participants on our Himalayan treks and climbs.
